City of Riverside, Public Works Department, Wastewater Division

Based in Inland Southern California the City of Riverside's Collections Section is made up of 19 members all CWEA certificatied in Collections System Maintenance.

The team operates and maintains the City's sewer collection system which is comprised of 820 miles mains, 414 miles of laterals, and 20 lift stations. Riverside's team is also responsible for mainline and lateral repairs and inspections, customer service response, and storm channel and lift station maintenance.

Since Fiscal year 2013 the Collections Section has managed less than 2 SSOs per 100 miles; achieving its lowest rate of 0.24 SSOs per 100 miles in 2019.
