Description
John Carroll
John Carroll is a Wastewater Operations Supervisor at the City of San Diego’s Public Utilities Department. He oversees operators at the North City Water Reclamation Plant (NCWRP) and the Pure Water Demonstration Facility (PWDF) and ensures these important facilities run safely and efficiently.
Carroll is an integral part of the Pure Water San Diego (Pure Water) team. Carroll’s role in advancing the Pure Water is two-fold: he leads operations and supports research studies at the PWDF to prepare for the future North City Pure Water Facility, and he is a member of Pure Water’s public outreach team. Carroll guides PWDF tours and provides presentations to engage and inform San Diegans about their future water supply. Carroll recently received his Advanced Water Treatment Operator Certification Grade 3, becoming the second person ever to do so, solidifying his expertise in water purification and representing San Diego as a leader in potable reuse.
